Care of Creation
World Day of Prayer for Care of Creation
Care of Creation:
The Season of Creation is celebrated in particular by Catholic churches worldwide from the 1st September, which Pope Francis called upon to be a World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation, until the 4th October, which is the Feast of St Francis of Assisi, who is remembered for his love of all aspects of nature. Pope Leo has called on us to remember the World Day of Prayer and the Season of Creation with prayer and action.
World Day of Prayer for Care of Creation on the 1st September
In 2025 a Prayer Service held at Sacred Heart Church at 7.00pm
Appreciating Nature
St. Kenelm's Way in May 2025, St. Editha's Pilgrimage on September 6, 2025, and more are planned for 2026, offering a challenging way to grow closer to God and be out among His Creation.
Wonky Walking Groups
A great way to spend time with others and get out into the countryside, admire, and give thanks for God's Creation. A slightly shorter walk on Wednesdays and a longer, more challenging walk on Thursdays provides plenty of options for all to enjoy. Contact the Parish Office for more details office@tamworthrc.church
Gardening Group
Growing Produce, composting, keeping the hedgerows and grounds tidy and in order, and tending plants all demonstrate great care for God's creation.
